We founded Studio Kioku on a single, poignant truth: the people we love won't be here forever. Not our grandparents' gentle hands. Not our children's fleeting smallness. Not the way our dog tilts its head just so.
Every figurine we craft is an act of reverence — a three-dimensional love letter to the present moment. We don't sell figurines. We sell the power to hold time still.

What to Know
To ensure the best possible result, please take a moment to review these guidelines before your appointment.
Before Your Session
Punctuality
Your appointment occupies a dedicated studio window. If you run late, your available scan time will be reduced accordingly.
Make-up & Skincare
Our scanning lights are strong. Go for a matte finish and avoid glossy or oily products — shine creates unwanted light scatter that affects scan quality.
Hair
Strong lights can deepen dyed or highlighted tones. Tidy hair worn away from the face gives us the most accurate facial data to work with.
During the Session
Hold the Pose
Our rig fires all cameras at once, so even a slight shift mid-scan can affect the outcome. The stiller you are, the sharper your figurine.
Young Ones & Pets
We know keeping little ones still isn't easy — that's what our patient team is here for. We'll take as many attempts as needed to get it right.
Bringing Props
Small personal items are welcome. Oversized or complex props may attract a surcharge — check with us in advance if you're unsure.
What Not to Wear
Eyewear
Lenses scatter light and frames are too fine to reproduce faithfully at figurine scale. Please remove glasses before your scan.
Sheer or Mesh Fabrics
Semi-transparent materials confuse the scanner and result in gaps or distortions on the final piece.
Hats & Caps
Brims cast shadows across the face, leaving gaps in facial capture. Headwear is best left off for the scan.
Metallic or Glitter Finishes
Highly reflective surfaces bounce light unpredictably, producing dark patches and noise in the scan data.
Head-to-toe Dark Colours
Wearing all-dark clothing flattens the body silhouette and makes it hard for the scanner to distinguish form. Break it up with a lighter piece.
Delicate Jewellery
Fine chains, thin rings, and intricate pendants rarely survive the miniaturisation process intact. Opt for bolder, simpler pieces instead.
Studio Policy

Our space is shared. Please follow the direction of our staff and be mindful of fellow guests at all times.
Payment
Your order is only locked in once payment is complete. Production is irreversible once it begins, so cancellations after that point cannot be accommodated.
Scan Approval
We'll walk you through a full 360° review of your scan on-screen. Your sign-off means production starts — changes cannot be made after approval.
Handcrafted Nature
Every piece is produced by hand from digital data. Minor variations in colour or surface texture between orders are an inherent part of the craft.
